Career Management
The ifs, in partnership with Margaret Martin Associates, a provider of career management support, has designed a specific range of programmes aimed at helping you take control and manage your own career and personal development. The services are designed to support you through three main phases:
Designed to support you through your own career review or redundancy. Key areas are:
Paper version Career Management Workbook without helpline support: £45.00.
E-based - two months access to the e-based Career Management Workbook/Job Seekers Workbook: £52.87.
Three Months access to the Career Management Workbook plus half hour career counselling support; this can be used in any of the subject areas also feedback to the online Psychometric Assessment: £95.00.
As above but with one hour career counselling support: £150.00.
Two hours' one to one with experienced career counsellor, UK wide. 'Taking Stock': identify your aspirations, current situation, skills and experience analysis. Consider options for the future in present organisation or external.
Psychometric Assessment plus feedback by an Occupational Psychologist (three hours). Psychometric tools will include Myers Briggs, Saville and Holdsworth OPQ. The Occupational Psychologist will highlight key skills and development areas and discuss future possible career opportunities.
Half an hour review with advice from an experienced career counsellor via email or telephone. Is your CV marketing document? Is it focused in the direction you want? Is the format of the CV correct?
This programme includes a brief review of CV, Internal & External networking Guidance – 1.5 hours with experienced Career Counsellor.
Personalised Interview Coaching session – an opportunity to practice being interviewed for a key job you are applying for – one hour.
Access to jobs, which are downloaded from national and local publications, specialist magazines including industry publications. Downloads up to 2000 jobs a day. Your own user id and password can access the database and identify specific jobs by location and type.
Success frequently comes from thinking outside the box, and an effective job search strategy is no exception. This three hour personalised programme with a career counsellor can include CV Review, Interview Coaching, Networking, Job Search advice, Self Marketing etc. This also includes access to the e-based Career Management Workbook for two months(Paper copy also available).
