The ifs School of Finance has announced the appointment of Chris Ray to the newly created role of Marketing, Events and Alumni Services Director.
The news follows just days after an organisational restructure which sees the ifs School of Finance divided into two distinct streams; Higher Education and Further Education.
Chris will report to both the Dean of Higher Education (Martin Day) and the Dean of Further Education (Anne Kiem).
Prior to joining ifs School of Finance, Chris was Commercial Director for the British Banker’s Association (BBA) and was responsible for managing BBA Enterprises Ltd., the BBA’s trading and membership services division.
Chris joined the BBA in 2004 as Head of Conferences following a number of commercial event roles including running investor exhibitions for FT Business, overseeing hospitality programmes for a small sponsorship consultancy and two years based in Singapore, managing the SE Asia operations for a commercial conference company.
Chris said
“I am very pleased to be joining such an internationally respected and forward thinking organisation. The challenge of further building on what is already a successful events and alumni offering is one that I will relish.”
Phil Hall, Head of Public Affairs at the ifs School of Finance added
“As our alumni numbers continue to increase and we look at new ways of developing our extensive range of events, it was essential that we made a senior appointment dedicated to this area of activity. Chris comes with a tremendous track record of achievement and will doubtless prove a real asset to the ifs School of Finance.”
