Who should study the ACII 'top-up'?

Please note that this qualification is being phased out and is only available to students currently registered.

The ACII 'top-up' is for those who have completed the ACII. As well as providing you with expert knowledge and skills, the ACII 'top-up' allows you to add a BSc (Hons) degree and Aifs to your existing ACII. On completion of the 'top-up' you will be able to use the designatory letters BSc (Hons) ACIB, demonstrating commitment to your industry.

Entry requirements

You must have completed the ACII.

If you completed your ACII prior to 2004, you will automatically gain entrance to this 'top-up' programme. Students who completed after 2004 should contact the ifs School of Finance Student Guidance team, who will be able to identify the full range of exemptions available to you.

Qualification level

The full degree is assessed at UK undergraduate degree level.

Who awards the qualification?

The BSc (Hons) in Financial Services and the Associateship of the ifs School of Finance are dual awards from The University of Manchester and the ifs School of Finance.

Study time

You are advised that each module requires approximately 300 hours study time including 40 hours of tuition support. Each course of study allows for 20 weeks of tuition support.

NB: Management and Organizations in Financial Services and Risk Analysis and Evaluation modules have two coursework assignments.

Time limit

You have a time limit of six years from your first BSc/Associateship registration to complete the qualification. You will not be allowed to re-register for the qualification if you do not complete within this time limit.

Please note that the BSc/Associateship is currently being phased out. The phase out table charts the phase out of each module.

Cost

To register for an ifs School of Finance/UoM validated qualification you are required to be a member of the ifs. The fee is non-refundable if you cancel your membership, cancel your registration or withdraw from a module. New members are required to pay the membership registration fee.

*Students joining between 1 July and 31 December are only required to pay half the annual subscription fee.

The ifs membership fee applies until 31 December 2006. The UoM registration fee and module fees apply until 1 April 2006 and will be reviewed in 2007.
