Why study for the Applied Diploma in Corporate Banking?

The ADCB is a specialist corporate qualification designed to equip employees of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group with an awareness and understanding of the principles of corporate banking and how they can be applied.

Course content

To achieve the Applied Diploma in Corporate Banking, you need to complete the following four modules provided by the ifs School of Finance:

Entry requirements

You must be a current employee of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group.

Students are required to have a minimum of GCSE grade C or equivalent in English Language and Maths. You must also have a level of proficiency, as exemplified for example by GCSE standard, in ICT. You will need to have Internet and email access throughout your course of study, and to access the online student induction and syllabus.

Qualification level

The Applied Diploma is assessed at first year UK undergraduate degree level.

Study time

You should aim to complete the Applied Diploma within two years.

How do I study?

You must follow an approved course of study provided by ifs flexible learning (a mix between distance learning and workshops). Please see Study support and exam information for Diplomas for more information.

Study support

On registration you will be sent a dedicated set of learning materials covering the module syllabus.

You will be given access to the ifs Interactive Learning Environment (my ifsILE) for these modules, which includes online versions of the materials, online self-assessment and discussions forums.

You will be given access to ifs KnowledgeBank for these modules.

Assessment

The Applied Diploma in Corporate Banking is assessed and awarded by the ifs School of Finance.

Each module comprises three assessment components:

  1. A one-hour paper-based multiple-choice examination
  2. Tutor-guided coursework
  3. A written coursework assignment

In order to pass each unit you must pass all assessment components.
