Who should study the BSc (Hons) in Financial Markets and Management/Associateship?

Whether you are in, or aspiring to, a middle or senior management position, the BSc (Hons) in Financial Markets and Management/Associateship will provide you with the expert knowledge and skills required to enhance your career prospects. The Degree is delivered and assessed by the ifs School of Finance and validated and awarded by the University of Manchester.

What does the course cover?

The degree comprises four modules. To gain the degree, you must complete a compulsory core module and three option modules:

Option modules

* Strategic Management in Financial Services is a pre-requisite to Retail Business Strategy.

** Corporate Finance 1 is a pre-requisite to Corporate Finance 2. You must also have taken and passed the Quantitative Methods for Finance and Investment module from the ifs Foundation Degree in Financial Markets and Management or Diploma in Higher Education in Financial Markets and Management, or an equivalent module in terms of content or level before embarking on Corporate Finance 1.

Entry requirements

Admission criteria for entry onto the degree are:

* You will need to have included coverage of management issues (unit 107) within your Banking and Finance degree, or demonstrate equivalent learning via a different qualification. If you have not taken unit 107, please contact the ifs on the number below.

Qualification level

The full degree is assessed at UK undergraduate degree level.

Time limit

You have a limit of four years from your first BSc/Associateship registration to complete the qualification. You will not be allowed to re-register for the qualification if you do not complete within this time limit.
