Why study for the Certificate in Business Banking?
This specialist qualification is designed to equip employees of Bank of Scotland Business Banking with a sound understanding of the principles of business banking and how those principles can be applied, both to the financial services industry as a whole and specifically within the Bank.

Entry requirements
You must be a current employee of Bank of Scotland Business Banking, and your registration must carry the support of your line manager.
You are required to have a minimum of GCSE grade C or equivalent in English Language and Maths. You must also have a level of proficiency, as exemplified for example by GCSE standard, in ICT. You will need to have Internet and email access throughout your course of study, and to access the online student induction and syllabus.
Qualification level
The Certificate is assessed at first year UK undergraduate degree level.
Study time
Business Banking Managers – you should aim to complete the Introduction to Banking and Personal Lending module within three months.
Business Development Managers – you should aim to complete the Certificate within 12–18 months (approximately four to six months study per module).

Assessment
The Certificate in Business Banking is assessed and awarded by the ifs School of Finance.
The Introduction to Banking and Personal Lending module is assessed solely by a two-hour objective test delivered electronically. Please refer to www.vue.com/ifs for further details about electronic testing.
