Who should study CSP?

The Customer Service Professional (CSP) award has been designed for those wishing to adopt and implement excellent customer services principles. The CSP award stimulates understanding of the principles, terminology and concepts of marketing and customer services.

Why study CSP?

Course content

CSP comprises one compulsory module, 'UK Financial Regulation', plus two other modules chosen from the following list:

* Please note that candidates cannot count both 'Personal Development and Team Management' and 'Supervising in a Regulated Environment' towards the CSP qualification.

In order to complete CSP you must attain passes in three modules, one of which must be UK Financial Regulation. If you hold modules as part of other ifs qualifications then you may carry a maximum of two modules as credit towards the CSP.

Please note that in order to reflect any changes to syllabuses, including matters arising from the annual Budget, the study materials for some (though not all) CSP modules are updated annually, usually in July for examinations from 1 September of that year. It is your responsibility to ensure you are studying from the most up-to-date materials. The most up-to-date learning materials, updates and amendments can be found at www.myifslearning.com.

Examinations

Each module is assessed by a two-hour, 100 question, multiple-choice examination. This is delivered electronically (in the mainland UK) with results given immediately.

Grading

Pass 70%
Merit 80%
Distinction 90%

Students must achieve a minimum of 70% in each unit. If students don't gain 70% in any unit/s within a module they will have to re-sit.

How do I study?

Distance Learning - materials are sent to you and you can study at your own pace. When you are ready you can book the exam.

Cost

£135.00 per module, which includes a twelve-month registration, the learning manual and the initial exam entry (any resits exams are purchased separately).
