Student representation
The ifs is committed to providing a framework for the involvement of students in important decisions and educational developments of its programmes.
As a student:
- you can expect to be given various opportunities to express your views on any aspect of the programme and our service to you as a student, both formally and informally;
- you can expect a student representative to be a member of all major ifs committees, comprising the Degree and Diploma Session Review Group; Programme and Validation Committee and the Academic Board;
- you can expect the ifs to regularly promote the appointment of new representatives and to support their attendance at committee meetings/discussion forums;
- you will be given an induction on being a student representative.
As a student, you are expected to:
- participate actively in the student forums about issues connected with the enhancement of the student experience and developing existing and new programmes of study;
- contact the appropriate student representative about issues that you would like to raise in the academic committees;
- support and encourage your student representative.
